Dave’s music is all about versatility. Being proficient on both piano and guitar affords him the opportunity to find the texture that best suits each song, and in doing so, serves the music and the listener.

"For me, it's all about making people happy - putting a smile on their faces as they listen," Dave explains while on the way to a show in Chicago. "I just want to make people smile."

Dave's music is all about heart, and as you listen to his debut album, Photographs to Nowhere, you can hear the hard work and pride that went into the music from everyone involved. Even the artwork has a strong sense of independence and style.

"The entire band was living in Philly at the time the record was made, and we recorded up on Long Island. We commuted every day so it was a lot of traveling, but in the end it was well worth it to work with Dug [the band's producer]."

Working tirelessly to promote himself and relentless touring have gone hand-in-hand with Dave's continuous pursuit of songwriting. Ever-evolving and colorful, Dave's songwriting is like his performances-spontaneous. His sound has garnered an amazing response from fans and critics alike, and though one can hear inspiration from many other artists in Dave's music, his voice and his songs are all distinctly Dave Pittenger.
